To ensure your child receives the highest quality, hyper-focused instruction, Kids Under Construction may utilize an AI-assisted administrative tool called Granola during our in-person tutoring sessions. 

 

​Here's how it works:

• Enhanced Focus: Instead of spending lesson time manually writing down everything your child says, struggles with, or excels at, a laptop microphone is placed on the table to capture the conversation.

• Immediate Audio Deletion: The software listens to the audio to generate a text transcript in real time. The moment the session ends, the audio recording is permanently deleted by the software. No voice or audio files are ever stored or saved.

• Secure Text Summaries: The resulting text transcript is converted into a structured lesson summary (e.g., concepts mastered, areas needing practice, and upcoming homework assignments). These text-based summaries are stored securely on encrypted cloud servers.

Our privacy commitment to your family:

• No AI Model Training: We have manually configured our software settings to opt out of data sharing. Your child’s transcripts and information will never be used to train or improve public AI models.

• Strict Confidentiality: These notes are strictly for internal instructional use to track your child's academic progress. They will never be sold, shared publicly, or made accessible to third parties.

• Right to Revoke & Delete: You have the right to request a copy of your child's session notes at any time, or to request that their digital transcript history be permanently deleted from our dashboard.
