These policies help us create a consistent, supportive learning experience for all students while honoring our tutors’ time and preparation. We appreciate your partnership and understanding. To help families feel informed and confident as they get started with Kids Under Construction, please review these important policies below.
Billing
Tuition for services rendered varies by service, and in some cases, by location. Sessions are scheduled monthly, and tuition is billed in advance on the first of each month for all sessions scheduled that month. The credit card information provided during enrollment will be securely kept on file and used for monthly billing. Payment information can be updated at any time through your TeachWorks account.
Please note that monthly invoices may vary depending on the number of scheduled sessions in a given month. For example, a month with five Wednesdays will include five sessions, while a month with four Wednesdays will include four sessions.
Rescheduling Sessions
We understand that scheduling conflicts can arise and are happy to accommodate reschedules when possible. All rescheduled sessions should be coordinated directly with your tutor.

For sessions that begin after 12:00 p.m., reschedule requests made before 9:00 a.m. on the day of the scheduled session may be rescheduled for a different day or time.

For sessions that take place in the morning and begin before 12:00 p.m., reschedule requests made before 6:00 p.m. on the day before the scheduled session may be rescheduled for a different day or time.

Rescheduled sessions must take place by the end of the following month, provided the student remains actively enrolled.

Reschedule requests made after the deadlines indicated above are not eligible for rescheduling, refunds, or credits.
Rescheduled sessions:

Must be completed while the student is actively enrolled

May not be used to reduce or replace future monthly tuition

May not be carried forward as a credit or discount
For example, a session rescheduled from late September may be completed during October while enrolled, but it may not be used in place of a regularly scheduled October session or applied as a tuition credit.
Refunds and Credits
Kids Under Construction does not offer refunds or credits applied to credit cards on file, except in the event of a billing error (for example, being charged for more sessions than were scheduled in a given month).
Cancellations and Breaks
Kids Under Construction does not schedule tutoring sessions during:

Fall/Thanksgiving break (1 week)

Winter/Christmas break (2 weeks)

Spring/Easter break (1 week)
Families may choose to cancel one additional week of sessions per school year outside of these scheduled breaks. All other missed sessions may be rescheduled with appropriate notice but are not eligible for cancellation.
A 30-day written notice is required to terminate tutoring services.
